I believe that continuous learning and practice are very important to be a more effective teacher. I have an outstanding academic background in education from which I gained a clear understanding of the concepts, assumptions, process of inquiry and ways of knowing that are central for language teaching (InTASC Standard 4:j, l). Moreover, I have gained relevant teaching experience in three different countries: Mexico, England and USA. My exposure to different cultures and educational systems has given me both the ability to understand students from different backgrounds, as well as the ability to evaluate, modify instructional resources and curriculum materials to enhance students’ learning (InTASC Standard 4: f, m). Through my teaching experience in England and Mexico, I have adapted and developed authentic digital and interactive technology such as reading, listening and speaking resources and activities, which promote student learning while efficiently and effectively achieving specific learning goals, which demonstrates ISTE NETS-T Standards 2: a, b, c.
